How does laser hair removal work?Laser is a concentrated beam of light that is used to target your unwanted hair. The light is converted to hear when it is absorbed by the pigment in the hair, this heat causes damage to the hair follicles where the hair grows . This damage reduces further hair growth

Is laser hair removal permanent?Laser hair removal is a long term hair reduction treatment. Laser hair removal can usually achieve around 80-90% hair reduction. Hormonal changes can cause new hairs to grow, requiring top up sessions.

Does laser hair removal hurt?Laser hair removal is not a pain-free treatment. We heat the hair follicle to around 70°C, therefore its going to be uncomfortable. We use a selection of cooling techniques to make the treatment as comfortable as possible. The area being treated, hormones and the individual all contribute to how uncomfortable the treatment is. The treatment is well-tolerated by most people.

How often can I have my treatments?We recommend between 4-8 weeks between laser sessions, dependant on the area being treated and your hair cycle. Your laser hair removal specialist will advice on the correct time between treatments, this may vary during your course of laser hair removal

Can you have laser hair removal over tattoos?No, we cannot treat over tattoos. We cover tattoos and treat around them

What colour hair can be treated?We can treat hair with pigment. We cannot treat blonde, white, grey or red hair.

How many sessions of laser hair removal will I need?The number of treatments can vary depending on many factors: the area being treated, the type of hair, systemic factors such as medications, medical conditions, stress and hormonal influences such as PCOS. You will need at least 6-8 sessions to achieve optimal results
